Say “Hello” To Our New COO for Canada!

We are pleased to announce that the shareholders and Board of Directors have appointed Mr. Ivo Beljo as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Viacore’s Canadian Operations.

Ivo is a commerce graduate from Laurentian University and former owner of Rematech Industries with more than 25 years of technical, operations and business development experience in the conveyor belting, rubber lining and molded product industry. He most recently executed the role of Vice President of Business Development for the Canadian operations, helping to expand the business footprint and diversify the product and service offerings while also leading the team that provides critical project management oversite.

Sergio Restagno, Incoming President & CEO of Viacore, commented, “We are very pleased to have Ivo in the role of COO to continue to use his diverse background to help us grow our business in Canada and drive the achievement of our long-term strategy. Ivo brings a wealth of business development and operating experience to our team and is well suited for this role.”

Some fun facts about Ivo Beljo: he is a member of the Sudbury foodbank board, Croatia Adria soccer club, and a recent board member of the Greater Sudbury soccer club. Additionally, it is important to note that over his professional career, Ivo has executed a variety of roles ranging from Supervisor, General Manager to COO and provided consultative support to all industries with a particular focus on the mining sector in Canada.

A Fond Farewell and a Bright Welcome

Today we announce that Janice Stasiuk, President and CEO, as well as a member of the Board of Directors, will be retiring March 31, 2024.

Ms. Stasiuk joined Viacore (formerly Belterra) in 2012 as CFO, becoming President and CEO in April 2017. She has led a period of sustained organic and acquisition growth and was instrumental in the merging and rebranding of Belterra and All-State Belting into Viacore Solutions in 2023. “I have been honored to have led a team of extraordinary people across the organization over the past 7 years and am confident that I am leaving the Company in good hands.,” commented Ms. Stasiuk.

Sergio Restagno will succeed Ms. Stasiuk on April 1, 2024. Mr. Restagno joined Belterra in 2014 as a Regional Vice-President, becoming Sr. Vice President of Canadian Operations in 2018, and then COO for Canada in April 2021.

Mr. Restagno is a mechanical engineer with over 30 years of technical, operations and business development experience in the manufacturing and industrial supply and service sectors and has been instrumental in helping the Viacore team expand and diversify its business. Mr. Restagno has also been very active with NIBA – The Belting Association, as a member of the Edu Tech committee, as a director, and now incoming Executive for the organization.

We wish Ms. Stasiuk a happy retirement, and a big congratulations to Mr. Restagno on his new role in our company.

Viacore Solutions Acquires Alternative Belting

Today we’re excited to announce that effective Feb 1st, 2024 Viacore has acquired 100% of the shares of Alternative Belting and Alternative Van Isle.  Alternative, founded in 2000, has been a leader in providing top-quality material handling products and services from 7 locations in 3 provinces across Canada. They offer a wide range of industry experience, delivering premium conveyor belt solutions across Canada to industries such as mining, lumber, pulp & paper, aggregate, cement and the food industry. Being a safety-conscious company, just like Viacore, effective Health and Safety management systems are integrated into their business operations.
