Sergio Restagno

Sergio Restagno, P. Eng

CEO & President

Since 2014, Sergio has provided executive oversight to help guide the direction of the organization. In that time, he has played an important part in securing several of the largest supply contracts in Viacore’s history and leading many sales and operational improvement initiatives. In 2018, he was promoted to Senior Vice President responsible for all Canadian operations, and then in April 2022 was promoted to Chief Operating Officer for Canada under the new North American organization, Viacore. As of April 1st, 2024, he was promoted to CEO and President.

Prior to joining Viacore, Sergio held various leadership positions in the industrial distribution, steel, and construction industries gaining valuable experience over a 23-year period.

An ethical, pragmatic, and driven leader, Sergio is committed to helping Viacore staff reach their potential, whilst also being client centric and supporting the ongoing development of solutions that help improve our customers operations. He contributes to the betterment of the material handling industry as an active member of NIBA (The Association of Conveyor Belting distributors, fabricators, and manufacturers), as both a board member and contributor on the Education and Technical Committee.

Cody Bissett

Cody Bissett, CPA

CFO, VP Shared Services

Cody Bissett has been the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Shared Services since 2022. Cody leads the accounting, finance, human resources and safety teams, and is also responsible for merger and acquisitions activities. He has helped derive the process and led the efforts to combine the accounting, finance, human resources and safety processes between the US and Canada to help drive the combined organization forward. He has also helped drive the IT transformation, including the implementation of new systems and processes. Prior to joining Viacore, Cody spent over 25 years in senior leadership roles for publicly-traded and private equity-backed industrial services companies in the energy, renewable, logistics, engineering and manufacturing sectors.

Cody has a BBA in Accounting and Finance and an MBA from Angelo State University, and is a Certified Public Accountant. He enjoys outdoor activities with his wife and two sons, including golf, hiking, and running half-marathons. He is also a partner in his family’s ranching operation and enjoys working with horses and cattle.

Cody Bissett

Pete Radding

VP Supply Chain & Engineering

Pete Radding recently joined Viacore as the Vice President of Supply Chain and Engineering. Prior to joining Viacore, Pete gained over 33 years of management experience in sales, marketing, engineering, and production working for Goodyear Tire & Rubber, Veyance Technologies, and Continental Contitech, primarily in the conveyor belt division. He brings a unique combination of technical and commercial knowledge of the rubber industry and a passion to create value for our customers.

Pete has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA from Capital University. He enjoys singing and outdoor activities, such as golfing, hiking, and skiing.

Zen Sato

Zen joined Marubeni Corporation, Viacore’s parent company, in 2008. In 2021, his mission became strategic planning and promotion at All-State Belting (now Viacore), and he began working as Vice President. As a driving force in service and accessory sales, Zen has been promoting the expansion of our business. From 2023, he has also taken on Vice President role for Belterra (now Viacore), working towards synergy creation between Viacore and our parent company’s operations, as well as contributing to strategic planning and smooth daily operational support.

Prior to his assignment in the United States, he worked in accounting and supply chain/trading of chemicals at Marubeni, honing his administrative and sales skills, as well as his ability to analyze market trends. He also has experience working in South Korea for two years and is fluent in the Korean language. He brings this knowledge and experience to Viacore, dedicating himself to bringing more value every day.

Ivo Beljo

COO Canada

Ivo offers an extensive background in the conveyor parts and lining supply and service business, combined with his education and training, making him a perfect fit for the executive and leadership team. Viacore utilizes his comprehensive experience and leadership to help continue to expand the business as VP of Business Development. As of April 2024, Ivo was promoted to Chief Operating Officer for Canada.

Prior to Viacore (formerly Belterra,) he served as President of Rematech Industries based in Sudbury, Ontario. As an owner of that business for over 16 years, he grew up in the business executing roles in sales, operational, and service management along the way.

Ivo is a graduate of Laurentian University with a degree in Commerce. He plays an important role in our Project Management office, which runs Viacore’s Apprenticeship Program.

Kevin Gaer

Kevin joined Viacore (formerly All-State Belting) in 1993 as a Sales Representative and was an integral part of the team that opened the Columbus, OH location that same year. In 1995 he became the Branch Manager in Columbus, where the branch more than doubled its sales and revenue over the next few years. In 2004, Kevin moved back to the corporate office in West Des Moines, IA to assume the role of Director of Purchasing. In addition to overseeing the supply chain, he was tasked with finding and developing overseas suppliers and importing products. Kevin was promoted to Vice President of Operations of Viacore in 2015. During his time in this position, he led a team that was responsible for the integration of two acquisitions and the opening of three new locations.

With the merger of All-State Belting (US) and Belterra (Canada) to create Viacore, a company that serves all of North America, Kevin was named as the Chief Operating Officer of Viacore in October 2022. In this position he is responsible for the oversight of all US operations. He is excited for this new challenge and the opportunities the merger will bring to the company’s employees. Kevin believes that all employees are critical to the success of the company and will continue to support their growth.

Doug Berner

Regional Manager Midwest, VP Sales US

Doug Berner started with Viacore (formerly All-State Belting) as a Sales Representative in 1994. He then got promoted to Sales Manager, then to National Sales Manager in the years to follow. He is currently VP of Sales and is performing Regional Manager duties for West Des Moines and the Columbus branch. He is also in charge of business development.

Doug has extensive experience with OEM belt sales across the nation. He also works with National User Accounts across the country.

Doug is an active member of GEAPS (Grain Elevator and Processing Society).

Paul Bosserman

Regional Manager Southwest US

Paul Bosserman has worked in Industrial Service and Distribution for over 30 years. Starting his career working for his oldest brother and earliest mentor, John Bosserman, Paul picked up a well-rounded knowledge of industrial systems, trade skills, and business principles: everything from wiring and troubleshooting high & low voltage electrical systems and panels; rebuilding electric motors and pumps for commercial lift stations; pipefitting water lines, gas lines, and effluent; Heating and Cooling systems; etc.

Paul went on to specialize in the bulk material handling industry in the ‘90s as a Belt Technician at Empire Rubber & Supply Co. in Portland, OR. He worked his way up to a Lead Technician position before moving into other roles including Inside Sales and Purchasing. Paul transferred to the Pasco, WA branch of Empire Rubber in 2002 where he served 9 years as Branch Manager before joining Viacore (formerly All-State Belting) in Dallas, TX as a territory salesperson in 2011.

Under the mentorship of Casey Price and Doug Berner, Paul focused his efforts into Heavyweight Belting sales, and conveyor system analysis & troubleshooting. He served as Sales Manager for the Texas region for seven years before taking his current position as SW Regional Manager in early 2023.

Jon Tensi

Regional Manager Southeast US

Jon Tensi started in Inside Sales with Viacore (formerly All-State Belting) in 1999. His primary job was to offer support to the Field Sales representatives and their respective customers while increasing sales in the state of Florida. Early success landed him in Field Sales only ten months later, taking over sales responsibilities in seven states. After initially dealing with resale accounts and OEM’s, Jon found more success dealing with end users. This would become the primary focus of the company.

After a brief hiatus away from Viacore, Jon was asked to come back to work in a Sales Management role, and through acquisition/green fielding was responsible for the sales of three branches that represent nine states. In 2023, Jon was promoted to Regional Sales Manager and is now overseeing Operations, Field Services, Mechanical Services, and Sales.

Michael Scott

Mike started his career with Viacore (formerly All-State Belting) back in 1992. In the first years, he spent time as an Outside Sales Representative. As the local Texas branch grew, Mike took the opportunity to grow with it and took on the challenge of being Branch Manager. Over the years, Viacore started adding new locations as his role changed to Branch/Operations manager over the Texas Region. Now there are nine locations that Mike travels to, to work with the Regional, Branch and Operations Managers. He has always stepped up to help where needed.

Martin Guillemette

British Columbia Regional Manager

Martin first joined Viacore’s (formerly Belterra’s) sales coordinator team more than 25 years ago, working his way up to become Branch Manager, Interior Regional Branch Manager, and finally Regional Manager for British Columbia. Over that time, he has managed many major mechanical projects, shutdowns, and acquisitions, but what Martin enjoys most about his job is the company’s continued ability to deliver “knock your socks off” service to clients. He believes that Viacore’s staff are the core of the company’s success to date and are dedicated to supporting their continued development and growth.

As British Columbia Regional Manager, Martin’s day-to-day responsibilities include optimizing the operations of Viacore’s Langley, Kamloops, Kelowna, Nanaimo, and Prince George locations. He continuously looks for new ways to improve and help our organization excel while solving clients’ greatest challenges. His positive outlook and inimitable laugh are tremendous assets to the Viacore team.

Mark MacKenzie

Alberta Regional Manager

In the 25 years since Mark joined Viacore (formerly Belterra), he has played an important part in the company’s continued growth and success. In addition to managing some of the company’s largest forestry and mining accounts in Central and Northern BC, Mark was responsible for opening our Kamloops branch and building operations there from the ground up. What began as a small operation, running out of Mark’s house and the back of a pick-up truck, evolved into a full-fledged profitable branch operation.

Mark was also the driving force and creator of Viacore’s Conveyor Service Technician Apprenticeship Program and Training Center which continues to train and develop young workers in this exciting career opportunity out of Viacore’s Edmonton location.

Today, as Regional Manager of Alberta, Mark oversees the continued development and success of Viacore’s Calgary, Edmonton, and Grande Prairie locations. An enthusiastic, positive, and supportive leader, Mark works to compliment the strengths of Viacore’s Alberta employees, helping them to reach new heights.

Paul Hughes

Midwest Regional Manager

Paul started with Viacore (formerly Belterra) over two decades ago and has since been involved in several of the company’s largest projects in Saskatchewan, including the successful supply of conveyor belting for a major potash mine expansion. His strong agricultural skills, industrial hose and fitting experience, and extensive conveyor belting knowledge position him to support clients in a wide range of industries.

Now, as the Regional Manager for the Midwest, Paul oversees the operations of Viacore’s Regina, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, and Thunderbay branches. He is an enthusiastic and positive leader who focuses on helping staff reach their goals, offering mentorship and guidance to ensure members of the Midwest Viacore teams have the support and knowledge they need to succeed.

Denis Lawrence

Denis Lawrence is a highly respected professional in the belting industry, known for his extensive expertise and dedication. With over two decades of experience, he has become an influential figure, leading with exceptional skills.

As a seasoned leader, Denis actively engages in all aspects of the business, remaining a hands-on member of the management team. His involvement fosters a culture of collaboration and teamwork within Viacore. Denis possesses in-depth knowledge of conveyor belts and components, making him a recognized authority in the field, from troubleshooting complex issues to devising innovative solutions. Throughout his career, Denis has achieved remarkable milestones. His strategic vision and attention to detail have led to successful conveyor system implementations, resulting in cost savings and improved productivity.

Mathieu Landry

Quebec Regional Manager

Since 2014, Mathieu has used his management, sales, and leadership experience to guide the development of Viacore’s (formerly Belterra’s) Quebec, Labrador & Maritimes regional team. He is deeply committed to the values of excellence, integrity, and trust—values which he brings to his work with Belterra every day.

Before joining Viacore, Mathieu gained more than two decades of experience in the bulk handling industry. In that time, he developed a well-rounded understanding of the industry, working his way up from helper to belt mechanic before moving into sales and management. Thanks to this firsthand experience, Mathieu is uniquely positioned to understand the various perspectives that affect his team’s work. Today, he uses this depth and breadth of understanding to ensure both Belterra’s clients and staff receive the reliable, knowledgeable service and expert advice needed, as soon as it’s needed.

A graduate of the University of Quebec à Montreal’s Service Management program, Mathieu is currently completing his executive MBA at the same school.
